Technology in the Classroom Program

Technology in the Classroom

is a program to provide digital tablets in the classrooms of failing elementary schools. In elementary level classrooms, teachers are charged with teaching academics, as well as, social skills. When considering how young children are still learning the norms of social behavior and how to handle strangers, Real School Work, Inc. made a decision to add a new tool to the teachers toolbox.

Kindle Fires or similar tablets will be given to each classroom of an adopted school. The tablets will allow teachers the ability to teach Science Technology Engineering Math Curricula or STEM through games, applications and videos using technology, as well as, providing a platform for social online behavior.

The tablets allow instruction to be given for what to do if someone is harassing online. While teachers must provide instructional paths for standards, it is vital that students understand online safety and digital citizenship with the same amount of seriousness and attention.
